It’s funny the memories we remember, and those that we forget. I remember when we left my father. I remember looking out the back window, and watching the sunrise, then promptly going back to sleep on the back dash. I remember sitting in the front seat of my aunt's firebird, the seat belt choking me, belting out the words to "Little Red Corvette". I couldn't see over the door, but I felt I was the coolest person in the world. I remember failing my "YMCA Guppies" swimming class so I could have the same instructor again, since I had a crush on him at the tender age of 6. Yes I remember them all. My favorite memory is when I took a little tyke driving course at the local mall. It was teamed up with the DARE program. They had a large tarp covered with different streets, all in the grid of a little town. At each corner were stop lights, and little stop signs. They taught us the basics so that we would know what the signs meant. I was ecstatic. There I was free. Only me and my tricycle. I could picture little road trips, and short jaunts to my friends house! I was a grown up! Then they let us all loose. Right away, those chosen as pedestrians started crossing the roads, and getting in my way! They were blocking me from the only road out of this god forsaken town. I stepped on it. I pedaled as fast as my little Osh Kosh B-Gosh shoes could peddle. Speed bumps kept slowing me down. Funny.. I didn't remember any speed bumps. I looked back towards the screaming that began to emit behind me. Pedestrians were knocked down left and right. Driving instructors looks in awe as my little red flash of a trike flew by them. Then I heard it.. The Police Trike pulled behind me, its little blue and red streamers flashing in the mall's fluorescent lights. I wouldn't let them take me down. I tried to peddle faster but my fuel gauge slowly lowered down past E. Damn. I knew I should've eaten my little Flintstone vitamins that morning. I pulled to the side of the road, knocking down a stop sign in the process. I was defeated... The copper came up beside me. "You've just gotten your Little Tyke License revoked." My grandmother came to pick me up. I was never allowed to Little Tyke Driving School again.
